Good Reads To Come
If there's one thing that excites me come September time is a list of good books to savour over the colder months. Let's jump right in.

I never step into a new season without checking Miranda Mill's recommendations on YouTube. Her channel is must for lovers of cosy mysteries, female-centred novels, and overall British flair.
Penny Wincer's new book is a good reminder that a home matters. What a privilege it is to own a space that can be decorated and customised based on individual taste and needs. A home is shelter, safety, cosiness and an outlet for creativity. Never take it for granted. In my basket!
// For the conscious and discerning traveller // I've been waking up at 5am often lately - sleeping with a big pregnant belly is no joke. This collection of essays and photos about modern Venice keeps me company, stirs thoughts and awakens emotions. The Venice book is quite hard to find in English, but there are more volumes in the Passenger series covering other cities and countries.
Are you also patiently waiting for Nigel Slater's latest book to come out, later on this September? I don't care about the absence of recipes. I rarely cook from his repertoire anyway (except for the brownies)... I'm here for the writing and imagery really. Preordered.
The Glassmaker by Tracy Chevalier is the new novel from the globally bestselling author of Girl with a Pearl Earring. This family saga centers around a female glassblower in Murano and features… time jumps! Sounds like a fun ride.
And to finish off, two recs from my 2023 autumn/winter pile: Hare House, a deeply unsettling witchy story set in mysterious Scotland; and The Glovemaker, a high-tension, slow-boiling novel set in the rugged backlands of Mormon Utah.
What's on your reading list this September?
